A slideshow of my personal photos and story of the Everest Base Camp Trek in 2010
In 2010 I was able to participate in the climb to Everest Base Camp with four young aspiring missionaries. Our goal was to experience a little of history that Nepal is famous for, but ultimately we wanted to reach the trekkers and the Sherpas whom we would meet along the way with the Gospel. Our trek would take a total of 15 days.
To follow the footsteps of many famous mountaineers before us , some whom never returned, to experience and see the breath taking views and mountains and to listen to the uncanny silence with the distance rumbling of an avalanche was an awesome and unforgettable experience. More importantly we met many folks whose lives have been changed forever by the message that we shared with them.
The article below was published from a secular point of view of the trip from one of the members of the team . Above is my newsletter with the photos I took .
