In 2013 we did another Christmas Blanket Drive for Nepal. This is our 3rd consecutive year that The Everest Region Project has participated in this program with Pastor Matthew Suroya of Masiha World Mission who helps do the organizing and co-ordination. (left)
We were able to help supply impoverished families of the Nepalese districts of Makwanpur & Chitwan, with 150 blankets. Weather conditions in the evenings can drop below freezing at night. There is no central heating and many depend on wood stove fires to keep warm.
With the combined efforts and donations The Everest Region Project supplied 120 of 150 designated blankets. The other 30 other blankets were donated through the General Secretary of Japanese Embassy, Kathmandu, Nepal. (right)
