Newsflash :
We received TWO photocopy machines in our appeal for Nepal ( see below ) Wow! But customs and duty taxes made it extremely difficult to ship to Nepal from Taiwan . So we donated one to a church that feeds the homeless and needy. The second we were able to purchase in Nepal through the gifts and donations given for that purpose. Thank you again for all who helped through prayers or giving!

Our ever faithful 20 year old Canon photocopier, which looks more like a small washing machine, and weighs about 20 kilos is on his final journey. Having served it's purpose it has survived numerous earthquakes, adverse weather conditions and homes for mice, but in short, there are no more parts for it and it time to retire. Do you want to help? A good second hand costs $1000 USD since the school will print 20,000-22,000 pages in the course of children's studies. St. Joseph's school depends greatly on the photocopy machines, since Government exams are posted, then teacher's are required to print the test out for the students. The photocopy machine is a very important machine and it one of the main stays of equipment since power cuts cause computers to lose valuable information, but the photocopier lives on. At least in Nepal :) |
